The Diamond Age
RECOMMENDATION INFO
It's a little meandering and has a dubious abrupt ending, but the ambience and detail of the world that Stephenson creates is stunning. This is probably the one book I have spent most time re-reading parts of and thinking about - the future history of the events leading up to the Diamond Age must have been truly 'interesting times'.
