Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman cavort in Bohemian Paris
ARTICLE INFO
I never knew this was a musical. I'd assumed it was some kind of Baz Luhrmann masterwork in the movie sense and had *no* idea it'd be a song-and-dance number. I don't suppose I really understood what was going on from the basis of the trailer. You will either love this film or walk away from it shaking your head somewhat and reaching for asprin. As it stands, I'll be first in the queue to see it in September when it's released in the UK and will also be picking up a copy of the DVD. Nicole Kidman can sing. Ewan McGregor makes a passable attempt. It's funny. It's in your face. And it has the *best* version of "Like a virgin" that I've *ever* seen. Oh, and I'll be buying the soundtrack, too. Apparently it got slated at Cannes after it was hyped up a bit. Don't care. Still love it.
Oh. And Kylie was in it.
