Herobear & The Kid
ARTICLE INFO
A wonderful tale of childhood, superheroes and evil robots..
The story concerns the exploits of Tyler, a young boy whose grandfather left him two things; a broken pocket watch and a stuffed polar bear. Needless to say, there is more to these inheritances than meets the eye... Beautifully drawn in a unique animation-pencil-sketch style, Herobear & the Kid captures perfectly how it feels to be young and to still believe. It's got everything - a giant HeroBear, evil robot X-5, the enigmatic butler... I picked up issue #3 recently and couldn't put it down. After much scouring of comic shops I eventually resorted to emailing astonish comics to get issues #1 and #2. I can't recommend it highly enough. Go read it. Buy them all, pass them on. It's tagline is 'Remember your childhood, and pass it on'. Do. www.astonishfactory.com
